Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium -  This Game and Parks Commission complex is the only facility of its type in the Great Plains. The Ak-Sar-Ben aquarium is home to more than 50 species of fish, reptiles and amphibians native to Nebraska.  

Ballet Nebraska - Omaha's professional ballet company performs several productions throughout the season.

One of Nebraska’s top attractions, the beautiful campus of Boy's and Girl's Town, shares the history of Father Flanagan’s dream to care for America’s children.

The College World Series is played every summer in Omaha and fans come from all over the country!  These games are held in Rosenblatt Stadium where the minor league baseball team, the Omaha Royals, calls home.

Council Bluffs, Iowa is just across the Missouri River from Omaha.  This little town has a lot to offer!

DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge is nature's best historical site in the area.  There is much to do and see here!

Durham Museum - Located in the historic Union Station, this museum showcases the history of the region, as well as traveling exhibits from the Smithsonian Museum, Library of Congress, and other events.

Fontenelle Forest is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon enjoying the Omaha wildlife and nature walks!

Holiday Lights Festival located on the Central Park Mall in downtown Omaha, begins Thanksgiving evening and continues through New Year's Day with over 1 million lights!

The Holland Performing Arts Center shows Omaha’s great commitment to the arts.

Jazz on the Green features some of the best local, regional, and national jazz musicians in two-hour concerts held at Midtown Crossing in Turner Park.  Admission is free and you can bring your own refreshments.

Joslyn Art Museum's collection now contains more than 11,000 works of art from all over the world!

Lauritzen Gardens is Omaha's Botanical Center.

Mt. Crescent Ski Area - offers snowboarding and skiing during winter months just across the Missouri River in Iowa.

Nebraska Shakespeare Festival - Annual event presenting two works of William Shakespeare weekends in late June at Elmwood Park next to UNO. 

Offutt Air Force Base Open House and Air Show has either the USAF "Thunderbirds" or Navy's "Blue Angels" air demonstration teams during a two-day event in summer. 

The Old Market in downtown Omaha is a favorite tourist spot in Nebraska.  While in the Old Market you may enjoy taking a carriage ride!

The Omaha Civic Auditorium offers sporting events, concerts and other attractions in downtown Omaha.

The Omaha Community Playhouse offers great entertainment.  Several famous actors and actresses got their start right here in Omaha!

Union Pacific Railroad Museum - Displays show the development of the railroad and 140 years of American history.

Vala's Pumpkin Patch offers hayrack rides, campfires and much more during September and October!

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) provides student shuttle bus service from the East side of the Crossroads Mall Parking Garage, located at 72nd and Cass Street between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters.

The UNO shuttle bus picks students up at the Crossroads Shopping Mall on 72nd & Dodge Street every 10 to 15 minutes and drops them off in front of the Durham Science Center & the Milo Bail Student Center. The shuttle buses return directly to Crossroads Mall after stopping at the MBSC. There is also a shuttle bus from UNO to the Peter Kiewit Institute. The Target Store in the Crossroads Mall across the street from Capitol Court is an excellent discount store with everything you will need to get started in your new life in Omaha!
